Unified Communications

UC
Innovative and compatible communications technology

Unified communications is increasingly for organizations that want to improve their productivity and responsiveness while reducing IT investment costs. Cisco converged voice communications, video and data around a shared IP-based infrastructure, which simplifies making calls, sending messages or participation in conferences audio or video.

Cisco’s open architecture supports all protocols, codecs and leading industry standard interfaces. Currently it offers great compatibility with existing environments and add-edge innovations that provide significant value.

Wide codec compatibility

Cisco supports multiple media compression standards and codecs as integrated functions and not as complementary modules. Automatic transcoding and speed matching capabilities help ensure high-quality presentations for each device or application.

Dual-protocol support

Cisco currently provides the only platform with dual-protocol presence in the industry. Incorporates both SIP / SIMPLE protocol (login / SIP extensions that take advantage of instant messaging and presence) as XMPP (extensible messaging protocol and communication of presence), allowing users to view availability information aggregated between terminals.

The presence of Cisco solutions can interoperate with Microsoft Lync, IBM Lotus Sametime and Google Hangouts. The third-party XMPP clients can register directly on the server.

Hosted and cloud options

Cisco offers a full range of accommodation options for partners, as well as options based unified communications cloud for customers. Cisco Powered services our partners offer the same dynamic user experience and capacity deployments in situ.

Architecture

Cisco architecture based on network supports a wide variety of service connections and optimize the experience dynamically. The architecture supports the entire cloud solution and is designed to overcome the problems of quality and latency on the remote host.

Policy Management

The highly granular policy management offers great flexibility and control and at the same time ensuring compliance with industry requirements. The comprehensive safety framework “defense in depth” has proved effective in the most demanding enterprise environments. The integrated approach includes both the network and the entire telephone system and guarantee the availability of dial tone in the worst case of denial of service (DoS).

Provisioning

Cisco Service Advertisement Framework (SAF) allows servers, clients and applications advertise and promote their services dynamically, allowing significantly reduce maintenance and IT delays.
