Dual-protocol support

Cisco currently provides the only platform with dual-protocol presence in the industry. Incorporates both SIP / SIMPLE protocol (login / SIP extensions that take advantage of instant messaging and presence) as XMPP (extensible messaging protocol and communication of presence), allowing users to view availability information aggregated between terminals.

The presence of Cisco solutions can interoperate with Microsoft Lync, IBM Lotus Sametime and Google Hangouts. The third-party XMPP clients can register directly on the server.
